Lake Homes: Build or Buy?

After looking for nearly two years, some very close friends recently purchased a home on Rock Creek. To say the house is perfect for them might quite possibly be an understatement. The home reflects their personalities and lifestyle to a T!

Over the course of two years, they sat foot in more than 40 homes on the lake before making it official. Our friends were on the verge of building before their now home came on the market. Watching and hearing about their experience first hand brings to mind many questions as we embark on an unexpected journey of the same. Build or buy? Make it how your want it or instant gratification?

We've spent years making our house on Smith Lake a home....and that it IS! Without a doubt, it has been the setting for many family gatherings and good times with friends. We have it dialed in down to a checklist for coming and going. The thought of re-creating it in any form seems overwhelming to say the least.
