Recipe: 8 Fun & Easy Lake Eats

8 Fun & Easy Lake Eats!

The 4th of July is right around the corner and with summer starting a littler earlier this year, a lot of my creative juices have been running on empty. I spent some time on Pinterest, looking through photos of folks enjoying lake life and compiled a list of 8 easy and fun foods to make the most of your lake days!

1. The BLT Bar ~ pictured to the above, nothing says summer like a juicy tomato, fresh lettuce and bacon. My favorite "extra" is a spicy pimento cheese.

2. Sour Patch Grapes ~ not just any frozen grapes, but grapes coated with your favorite koolaid. These are perfect for eating on the dock and can easily be made patriotic!

3. Pimento Cheese Stuffed Celery ~ this is a "go-to" boat ride item for my crew and depending the pimento cheese flavor, it totally changes it up overtime! My current favorite is the Grateful brand.

Bomb Pop Champagne
4. Classic Crack Corn Dip  ~ this is a crowd pleasing favorite I have forgotten! Add scoops and bam! Click here for the recipe I use from Pinterest.

5. Boiled Peanuts ~ every holiday involving a flag, you can find a five galloon pot of these going on our terrace. Get our tried & true recipe here.

6. Funeral Sandwiches ~ No mourning required for this favorite also known as the "King Hawaiian" sandwiches. The baking and sitting in this recipe, followed by tin foil was one of my quarantine perfections.

7. Conecuh Dogs ~ Throw some Conecuh on the grill, cut and serve it in a hotdog bun. Wrap in tin foil and they are ready for your boat tote! See the jazzed up addition here.

8.  Bomb Pop & Champagne ~ if there was only one popsicle that says "hello summer" ... the bomb pop is king! A glass of champagne is always nice - so combine the two like the Osborne ladies of Smith Lake did and you have a winner!!
