Smith Lake: New Experiences

Last Saturday As I told my little boy to "get ready we were going on a boat ride to the marina" it occurred to me those words have never come out of my mouth. We were embarking on a new adventure on our beautiful Smith Lake.

Going to a restaurant on Smith Lake for an afternoon beverage & appetizers is something we've wanted to do for a while, but haven't been able. Our first experience was at Trident Marina located in Crane Hill {get directions here}.

What we loved:

• Locally brewed beer from Cullman's Goat Island Brewing.
• The food from the Grille at Trident Marina -- the fries and mozzarella sticks were big hits with our crew!
• The setup at Trident - picnic tables, covered dining, indoor dinning & a grassy area -- all with a great view of beautiful Smith Lake!
• Live music & a great service from the Trident staff!

At one point I even just stood there asking myself if this really was Smith Lake?!

We are from the "other side of the lake" so it wasn't a quick ride over for us, but that will NOT stop us from coming back! We had a fabulous experience at Trident, which only makes me more excited for the plans ahead for Duncan Bridge!
